MDG.Gunner wins MDCL #5 in Sofia

MD Games’ new starplayer – Velislav Dimitrov, a.k.a. Gunner, won yet another PES 2011 LAN tournament – MDCL 5. This time Gunner had to abandon his favorite Arsenal because of the tournament rules. Each player was drawn a team before the group stage start. This way Gunner received FC Barcelona, led by Lionel Messi (100 overall stats in the tournament patch). The draw was not so lucky though, because all the favorites got strong teams.
The leader of the MDCL ranglist – Dante, got Real Madrid but this didn’t stop Gunner from beating him 3:1 in the group stage, leading group A with the maximum of 9 points.
The other MD Games players – Beast (Milan) and denZ (Brazil), also advanced to the playoff phase topping group C. MDG.Beast took 9 points with 13:0 goal difference, and MDG.denZ took 6 points with goal difference of 13:3.
MDG.Gunner remained unbeated until the very end of the tournament. He faced Dante on the final and won the best of three by 2:1 (0:1, 2:1, 3:1). Gunner’s prize was Logitech G930 Wireless 7.1 Gaming Headset and 3 points in the MDCL ranglist. After MDCL 5 this ranglist’s top looks like this:

3. MDG.Gunner – 3 pts
